Observation 20738: Boletus L.

No herbarium specimen

Notes: with Roy here identifying Australian boletes I’ll add a few of mine…

this was a single specimen, cap was 11cm across, flesh and pores stained blue quickly, the stipe base stained red fast to; the one on the left I cut off the bottom to show the staining reaction.

it was growing in dry eucalypts woodlands in sandy soil.

Definitely a Boletus and a sp. for me as well. I haven’t seen this beauty before.
