This could be Peziza succosa. The pale greyish color is common in this species, often with yellowish spots on the external surface (due to a yellow juice produced when you cut the flesh). Microscopic study would be necessary to verify this hypothesis. P. succosa is one of the rare species with an ascus base lacking crozier.
