Observation 207682: Russula mutabilis Murrill

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Fruiting singly from grass under a mature Oak Tree. Cap: 8 cm., lined margin, bruises deep red easily and quickly, strong odor of almond extract. Stem: 5.5 cm. tall X 1.7 cm. wide, yellow discoloring reddish brown. Flesh pale yellow/creamy. White spore print.
