I did not pick up on the distinction between ellipsoid and the shape exhibited by these spores, fusoid.

Much of what I know about the study of mushrooms (especially micro-characters) comes from discussions just like this one.

Not cupuliformis after spore shape

The ascospore are fusoid, so it cannot be H. cupuliformis as suggested. There’s still two options: H. macropus or H. brevis.

My skills with the microscope are limited, and I really need to get a micrometer for my scope. But looking at the spore photo, the spores appear to have length around 20 mu and each one pictured shows the one large central oil droplet. So the small amount of micro available supports your cupuliformis proposal.
