just a piece of cap tissue that attached to the pores early in development?

I did not analyze it. It may have simply been a piece of debris that got embedded in the pore surface. Another possibility is that it is a piece of debris which has become a host for some mold.

I’ll alter my obs notes accordingly.

Any chance this is non-fungal?
