Observation 207840: Cantharellus altipes Buyck & V. Hofst.
When: 2015-06-20
(32.8419° -94.7015° )
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Growing throughout the wooded areas near the fishing dock and pic-nick area.

Up do 3 inches across.

Spore Print: given a fairly thick deposit, the print is cream-colored with orange tints in the thickest deposits.

Spore Measurement:
[20/1/1] L (-9.1) 9.2 – 10.8 (-11.1) μm x W (-4.9) 5.1 – 6.4 (-6.5) μm, (L = 10.0 μm, W = 5.6 μm), Q (-1.48) 1.56 – 1.96 (-2.01), Q = 1.79 Elongate

The spore measurements seem to match C. altipes but the color does not match that shown in observation 100092

Also, I think this spore print is a darker cream-orange than that described for Altipes
