Observation 208088: Podoscypha Pat.
When: 2015-06-17

Notes: Growing on woody debris in mixed woods.
Fruit bodies pliant but relatively tough with the tips thin and pore surface smooth.
Stems brown, tough and ~ 2 cm long.
No spore drop but they appeared whitish and were not amyloid.
Spores ~ 4-5 X 3.0-3.3 microns, ellipsoid and smooth.
Haven’t found a match yet(?).

They do seem close to Podoscypha petalodes,

but it appears to be an Australian species. Good match for the spores also.
