pretty close, Walt. The pitted pileus and the occasional strange angularity of the stipe’s apex (a kind of flattening) are shared by my earlier post (the one you initially commented on). I think you’re right.

They look X. tenax from above, but, alas, there is no reticulation… In your opinion, what known species do these resemble the most?
