Observation 2084: Leucopaxillus albissimus (Peck) Singer
When: 2007-01-23
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Identified by large size (pileus 12 cm across, stipe 13.5 cm long and 5 cm wide), inrolled edges and tan center on pileus, and decurrent gills. There was no large mycelial mat at the base, but the specimen had already been dug up and replaced, so I’m sticking to this identification unless someone can convince me there’s something more appropriate.
