No herbarium specimen

Notes: Small clump Lactarius specimen. Growing out of an Acorn Cap. The entire area is mixed hardwoods and pine, covered with lots sand due to flooding.

Latex: off-white, abundant.

Cap: The maximum cap size is about 1 inch. Deep orange, velvety feel, edges rolled in and under.

Gills: light orange cream color, moderately spaced, thick, attached.
