I dont see it that often either. I almost did not photograph it. I really dont like groups of 2 for bolete photography and thats all there was but I thought they looked ok and I have been working on boletes this year since somehow they seem really common now compaired to recent years. 2 bucks ran past me 7 times within 100 feet of me while I photographed these and another mushroom. I did not see a fawn newar me but something must have upset them.
I see this one only once in awhile.
