Observation 20895: Fomes hemitephrus
When: 2009-05-07
No herbarium specimen
0 Sequences

I wasn’t going to photograph this woody poly-pore, but then I felt sorry for the ugly duckling and gave him a place in my collection. The fungi was firmly afixed to the trunk of an tree. The texture throughout was hard and woody. There was little evidence of pores on the underside, but they were there. The distance across the face was about 15cm and it was about 5-6cm thick.
