The partial veil looks like it was originally funnel-shaped…in first picture.

Hence, the two names that come to mind are velatipes and multisquamosa. The latter is usually more delicate and can range from almost entirely white to having a yellow or brown cap center.

I have been working with Dr. Jozsef Geml for several years on section Amanita. At the moment there is an opportunity to get sequences from many collections of material from the section.

Dried material of this and similar photographically documented collections are welcome.
