You’re right, the pantherinoid mushrooms would retain the partial veil.


No ring

There was no ring at all on the large one, very small veil fragments on the other one. Does the bulb ornamentation suggest A velatipes? The larger also has striations on the cap

The funnel-like ring and the pantherinoid volva on the top of the bulb…

suggest a small velatipes or a very yellow multisquamosa. From the extent of the cap pigmentation, I’d be inclined to go for velatipes.
