Last year I saw this species in the same location, but the material was really beat up, so I didn’t bother to photograph it. Before that, it had been awhile.

I’m finding other things that I usually associate with autumn. For instance… obs 208690 .

We had a very warm dry May, followed by a rainy June with several chilly nights, 40s low 50s. I think some of the mushrooms have been tricked into thinking summer has ended! Surprising to me, though, that some mycorrhizals are acting this way.
