When: 2015-07-06
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Growing in leaf litter on side of a trail. Very delicate and brittle white flesh. Mixed woods – mostly pine, maple, and oak. Does not stain on cutting/bruising. Tubes are bright white. Stipes were typically heavily infested but caps were left untouched. Smell like crimini. Largest mushrooms reaching ~7-8cm caps and perhaps 5-7cm tall. Cap color changes from burgundy to orange-brown with age.
