The micro here doesn’t really tell us anything other than that this is Bolbitiaceae…

Important characteristics would be the cheilocystidia (To rule out Conocybe for sure) and spore size. The fan6 key only contains 6 names and we certainly have species not included… My B. lacteus observation should be only considered correct in that the macro/micro match the official description, DNA might tell a different story or not.

Might have been a mixed collection, got rid of the yellower fruiting body pics from a different grass patch.

Checked the spot with this pale specimen, and there was a young fb that looks much more Conocybe than Bolbitius. (Pic added)

Guessing my interpretation of the micro situation was wrong. Micro pics still to come.

from the whitest fruiting body. Hopefully that will solidify the answer from someone who knows micro. It seems to me to be a trichoderm (right after seeing a definite Conocybe pileipellis), but I’m not sure…
