Observation 20920: Lacrymaria velutina (Pers.) Konrad & Maubl.
When: 2009-05-09
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Today I noticed a few mushrooms growing about a foot from a Colorado blue spruce I planted a few weeks ago in a area of the yard that stays dry most of the time. But it has been raining just about every day or so for for a while now in east Tennessee . I have no experience at all in wild mushroom hunting and was curious to know what type of mushroom they were. So I picked 3 big ones took prints that are black and took plenty of pics so the expert wild mushroom hunters could give me a positive ID on them.
