Chlorophyllum rhacodes, Agaricaceae, Agaricales.
(Macrolepiota rhacodes (Vittad.) Singer, 1951; Гриб-зонтик краснеющий)
Cap: 8-20cm bell-shaped or semi-spherical, then broadly convex up to almost flattened; brownish-white, light brown up to grayish pink, bruising reddish; concentric scaly with whitish and pinkish-gray patches; young cap bottom is covered with white veil.
Gills: attached, white, very close, moderately broad or broad when old.
Veil: partial veil white leaving flaring up to pendant whitish and reddish ring at upper 1/3 part of stalk.
Stalk: 10-22cm long, whitish up to pinkish-white or reddish, bruising pink up to red; 2-3.5cm thick, slightly enlarging down with basal bulb (and pinching out end); often with indistinct suture between bulb and stalk. So, stalk is broken easily along this suture.
Edibility: good after boiling.
Habitat: small groups scattered on soil after rains under deciduous woods (maple and oak).
Season: June – July.
