that is one of the characters that is reported for sp-T06. More study of sp-T06 is needed.

This distinction is in addition to the striking genetic distinction between A. justicei and the collections remaining in the “sp-T06 group.”

Very best,

Yes. That is correct.

Can you characterize the forest type or other ecological data where the specimen was collected? If there is information, there is a blank to fill in on the GenBank submission process.

Thank you very much for sending the dried material of this curious species.

Very best,

Amanita justicei

from sp-T06, we need to change the proposed name for this observation. This material expands the known range of A. justicei to three counties of Missouri.

Very best,

This species may be close to Amanita"__sp-T06__."

We were able to derive a good nrITS sequence for this species differing from the same sequence from “sp-T06” in only two characters.

The nrLSU from this material is a 100% match to a previously obtained nrLSU sequence from “sp-T06

Thank you very much for sending us the voucher material for this observation.

Very best,

Thanks Patrick,

We have received this material and it has been accessioned to Rod’s herbarium. We have scheduled it for DNA sequencing.
