found these back in january, the mushroom was a bit waxy yes.
my first thought was Hygrophorous or Camarophyllus, but neither of those pan out well.

I dont remember if there was any trees nearby, I think I was on the edge of an oak forest meeting a grass field, the mushroom was sticking about 2 inches out of the ground and when I pulled it out the stem kept coming lol

Hygrophorus or Hygrocybe?
where did you find it? under trees?
Feel the gills are they waxy
Clitocybe might be a possibility
