It does sort of look gray there, doesn’t it? I did not note it at the time.

I did not note it at the time. I was too busy enjoying the way the volva attaches way up on the stem. Reminds me of A constricta from out West. And had a very elegant cap. Too bad it was a singleton.

I don’t recognize this one. Is the volva graying below the rectangular hole in the sack?
