funny, I just dont know any other way to describe it.
“peppery” I would think would be spice-like(like cinnamon), or herb-like (like basil or capsicum), this felt like a strange new burn beyond any explanation, almost like I had put a strong acid in my mouth that was eating a hole in my tongue.
The same goes for the peppery Lactarius.
Especially Lactarius alnicola, I cursed myself for tasting that mushroom, ugh!!!

haha I did taste em, I find the “peppery” taste of most russulas to be quite…. chemical more than “peppery” though.
Ive heard of a few people, one person in particular from mexico, who was talking about using them to spice food…
doesnt sound appealing… lol
