All the spectabilis ive found have shown no signs of activity.
All the luteofolius have shown greening at the base or in these “green raindrops” on the cap surface.
i thought those were inactive in cali? maybe thats just big gyms then
Very nice! Have never seen this species bursting out of a log like that before, usually I find them on wood chips.
Nice mushroom painting you have there. What mushroom did you use to draw it? I like using Mycena haematopus and various “Inky Caps” to draw mushrooms on the back of my hand. :)
