H. praedecurrens looks good for this. Phillips has it under Mycena, and the habitat listed there is a match for where I found this… damp, mossy deciduous woods.

But I can come up with nothing else to match these mushrooms.

As for wrong season… I’ve seen examples this year of mushrooms that seem to not know they’re supposed to wait a month or so.
