(40.81° -74.482° )

Notes: Collection 1 Trametes gibbosa. Caps white and lumpy, upper surface very finely tormentose, 5 to 15 cm across (typically 6 to 11 cm). No stipe present, broadly attached to substrate. When cross-sectioned, Fleshy layer 3 to 20 mm tall above pore layer which is 3 to 15 mm tall Pore surface with elongated pores structure appears maze-like at first glance, but only because the pores are somewhat rectangular and of varying size. Spores white in bulk deposit. No bruising observed, smell fungal, slightly like rubber. Habitat on side of well rotten dark brown log round. Compost pile, fir trees, potatoes, tomatoes and other garden crops nearby.

Collected on July. 20. 2015

I don’t understand why spore width is so wide.
