Observation 211325: Polyporales sensu lato
When: 2015-07-14

Notes: At first thought these were Trametes versicolor from a distance. Fruiting on trunk of old, dying Redbud tree. Densely hairy reflexed caps with persile white pore surface, very tiny round pores. Caps are “mink” brown. The only zone of color is at the cap margin. Droplets of a faintly blue watery substance can be seen on some of the lower caps (last photo). Conditions were dry and it was afternoon so I have ruled out dew and/or moisture from any recent rain.
