Observation 211415: Amanita variicolor Y. Lamoureux nom. prov.

Notes: Many scattered fruiting bodies of this one growing among hemlock and some white pines. Amanita sect Vaginatae…very flimsy volva, exannulate, very dark brown cap but with some shades of yellow, copper, bronze. Similar colorations on scant velar material on cap. Very showy stipes with reddish brown colorations.
