I’ll watch for a secondhand dehydrator. Looks like part of my craft area is going to the fungi. :)
Just use a commercial food dehydrator/beef jerky maker to dry your samples. Don’t exceed 115 F to keep DNA intact. Large specimens and densely-fleshed boletes can be sliced for faster drying.
No, I did not preserve this. That’s probably the next thing I should learn to do. Any advice or links are welcome!
