This specimen arrived at the Helen Miknis Foray as a result of Eva Abraham’s eagle-eye vision.

Looks like a good potential match for this obs. A very interesting fungus with a very interesting history. just look at the discussion here obs 68617. Reminded me of Tapinella (Paxillus) panuoides, except the color was not right for this species. There is at least one Crepidotus species with orange coloration. But P. curtisii looks like a better match.
