I picked some up in the past from locations nearby – they are pretty common there.

I think it was Jason that provided an ID, but I don’t remember if he or anyone else did any microscopy or it was just morphological. The lichen underneath was IDd by Jim Bennett (not on this particular boulder) – it’s covering many rocks in the area.

this one is free-living and grows on top of Mycobilimbia sabuletorum whose apothecia are popping through.
