My be too small for Daldinia, the ascocarps size 0.5 – 1.0 cm. and very hard texture.
You should start making a section of the Xylariaceae you find like this — a shot of the inside would help differentiate among Kretzschmaria, a Xylaria, Daldinia, Hypoxylon and Nemania here, all of which can have these sorts of pulvinate stromata. I’m sort of leaning towards Kretzschmaria for this one, but you can’t really tell from these photos.
