Cap flesh white; tubes adnate, 5mm long, surface reddish around the stipe; stipe yellow in the upper part, increasingly wine red below, reticulate at the apex; flesh stains blue weakly when cut (image 543869); taste bitter; spores (8.38-)9.06-9.95(-10.06) x (3.82-)3.98-4.41(-4.79) μm Q:2.03-2.48 n:20, cylindric, smooth
