Observation 212038: Pseudoinonotus dryadeus (Pers.) T. Wagner & M. Fisch.
When: 2015-08-05
No herbarium specimen

Notes: A very fresh fruiting of half a dozen (most fused) at the base of a live mature Oak tree in landscape of suburban residence. There was a large fruiting of the same fungus on the same tree last summer just a week later in August. The residents of the home pried those off of the tree last year and will surely be surprised to see they’ve returned.
