Observation 2124: Lactarius rufulus Peck

Latex white, scanty to nonexistent. Taste mild but it starts to feel acrid, however the peppery heat never fully develops. The tip of the tongue has a slight tingling feeling, but never truly acrid. The cap color is a deeper red than Lactarius rubidus.
