Observation 212548: Pluteus petasatus (Fr.) Gillet

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Half a dozen growing in grass in an arc around a site where a tree had been cut down several yeas ago, presumably fruiting on buried wood. Cap: 5 cm. whitish/pale buff, darkens with age. Stem: 7.7 cm. X 5 mm., white unchanging, solid, silky. Spore print: light pink.
