On hemlock. This does not look like G. tsugae to me.

I did not catch that the first time around, I think this is just G.tsugae with an odd coloring. For some reason or another the cutis cells did not mature. Was it exposed to excessive sunlight perhaps?
Could you tell what the host tree was?
