Spore print not obtained. I found this same type in the exact same location a year ago, and a thick white spore print was obtained form that collection.
Birch, hemlock, White Pine, other hardwoods.

is very productive. Lots of mycorrhizal species. This one spot along a trail at Nescopeck SP is the only place I’ve ever seen this Lactarius species.
It’s all about this particular habitat in your area, Dave, and we don’t have much of it in NJ…
