Thanks for the tips. I know this, mostly just sloppiness on my part!

Agaricaceae, Agaricales, and vote confidence

Agaricaceae is only one of many families of gilled mushrooms, which these are really definitely not in. “Agaricales sensu lato” is the phrase used here to denote a completely unspecified gilled mushroom, which is what I assume you meant? (Agaricales is an order that includes almost all gilled mushrooms.)

Votes on MO are for what you think are for what you think is the best name for an observation… “An I’d Call It That” vote for “Agaricales sensu lato” will override most more useful suggestions, e.g. all “Promising” votes for a family, genus, or species.

So just leave "Agaricales sensu lato” as “Could Be”, or if you doubt that anyone can come up with a good guess, maybe go for “Promising”… :)

Lots of text for minor points here… great LBM post! (Thanks for the spores!)
