Recognized by sight: It is a Mycena, but I am not sure we should be applying European names in Wisconsin. Perhaps there is another species which matches the description and was described from North America? Check the AH Smith Mycena monograph which is available free online.

And also, many of our guidebooks including Mushroom Demystified, are primarily making reference to European species?
