I have noticed you have a nice hat yourself too, as many mycologists/mushroom hunters have. At least, that is my experience with the mycophiles in the Netherlands.

The genus Allopsalliota has been made to provide a home for this Agaricus outlier. Marijke Nauta and late, but still amazing, Cees Bas, both Dutch colleagues of mine, described this mushroom and genus from a Dutch collection.

It was a treat to have found this mushroom for the first time! Funny thing is that two weeks later, I found another collection even closer to home. Tad older, but still an awesome find.

that hat sure gets around :)
