Unknown mushroom found Aug. 26, 2015 in Schmitz Park in West Seattle, WA. Cap is 8 – 9" across, about 5" tall, stipe about 11/2" in diameter. Very mature, cap is a grayish color, gills cream, bruised grayish black in places, stipe grayish black (looked as though it is in the process of decaying). Gills running down stipe slightly. Growing under an unidentified conifer, on side of trail. Mixed forest, lots of ferns and moss. Only found one in area.
I’m new to the area, I hope someone can help ID this guy for me.

Top of mushroom. about 8" across.
Gill attachment. Stipe has black spots on light colored stipe.
