Laetiporus sulphureus

is not always yellow pored. That’s why I suggested examining MO 214007. It seems to be more varied than previously thought. It definately was growing on hardwood.

Not Laetiporus sulphureus

The pore structure is all wrong for a Laetiporus sulphureus. The coloring is all wrong as well, even for a dried out specimen. These were not dry either. The sun didn’t bleach them because they were in a shaded part of the woods. They were loaded with moisture. Laetiporus sulphureus doesn’t bruise reddish brown either.
