think that this is not A. jacksonii. There are a number of possibilities in the SE U.S.:

and new taxa found genetically by Santiago Sanchez-Ramirez in his PhD research.

The latter group are not so well know morphologically at the present time. Spore size-shape is often useful for identification in sect. Caesareae (at least that has been the case up to now.
