3 fruiting bodies (youngest one cut and photographed), 1.1-2.1 cm wide, tan to olive. Stipe white. Smell: yeasty. Spores: ellipsoid, granulose, ~12-14 × 7-10um. Basidia 4-spored.

Growing at surface level of Abies fraseri.

This is supposed to be a West Coast species. Please let me know if you think it could be another secotioid Cortinarius.
