Observation 214387: Russula Pers.
When: 2015-08-29
Who: SHadley
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Growing in fir, cedar, and maple forest. Cap 2" diameter, color shades of yellow and rosy, gills white, stipe white. There were a couple of smaller ones around without the rosy color on cap. Stipe appeared solid and looked as though it would snap when broken. Russula comes to mind, but which one?? I couldn’t see attachment of gills Good solid little mushroom, I hope someone is familiar with this one. I couldn’t find it on Mycokeys.com. Maybe, I didn’t look long enough.
