I don’t think this is L. volemus

There are quite a few L. volemus sequences in GenBank, and you match only 95% with all except one of them – and the one you do match with was labeled with a cf. because the sequence authors didn’t think it was really L. volemus.

I didn’t check all of them, but all of the several 95% matches I did check were not from North America. The 99% match is from Tennessee, and I believe it is the same taxon that you found.

It would be helpful to make a phylogenetic tree where each branch of the tree was labeled with both the species name and location. That would make it easy to see where each of the clades occurs.

I wonder if an old name could be resurrected, or if the North American L. volemus needs to be described as a new species.
