Observation 215206: Agaricales sensu lato

No herbarium specimen

Notes: A solitary fruiting in rich soil/humus among Iris in residential garden. Cap: 6.5 cm. covered with shaggy, cottony scales (see last picture), ragged margin. Stem: 9 cm. including the long rooting base — 5.5 cm. above ground X 1.3 cm., tapering toward base. Cap and stem slightly sticky. Faint pleasant odor. Persile white spore print.
