Observation 215394: Mycena (Pers.) Roussel
When: 2015-07-09
(42.6351° -82.5001° )

nickname: “Mycena holy” (so white and semi-translucent it looks like it glows in the darkness under the grass)
emerging from soil (or litter), almost always singly
common across my tall grass prairie sites, but difficult to assess since it’s so small and only found as singles

The first photo refers to this actual specimen while the others are from separate dates and sites but I believe represent the same species

Sequencing is in the works, will update observation later

Species Lists

1 – main specimen, terrible photo illustrates “glowing” effect
2 – same site, different date, different specimen, same species (micro lens closeup)
2 again (note finger as scale reference)
