If you are going to start drying amanitas, I’m interested and will….

keep an eye out for observations that note that a collection has been dried.

I can’t take on everything; however, I will often be interested in individual species or in larger groups of species…such as the species of sections Caesareae and Vaginatae.

There may be a project on poisonous Phalloideae coming soon (depending on funding). If this comes through, we will be specifically looking for the less familiar taxa of section Phalloideae known primarily from the SE U.S.

There are other ongoing projects aimed at one or another group within the Amanitaceae.

I try to keep an eye on what’s happening on mushroomobserver; however, if you think I’ve missed an observation that I might have wanted to see, you can contact me through the email function on my mushroomobserver user page.

Very best,

Rod

Will begin and continue the practice of drying and storing a collection until I can locate someone willing to take a look at them. Thanks again for your comments.

No, afraid not. Am not experienced with using one either.

I forgot if you’ve mentioned having a microscope. Do you have one?

Very best,
